PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate a measurement position in piping to be measured for improving precision when measuring reduction in thickness in a method of measuring piping thickness by using an image intensifier. SOLUTION: There are provided: a radiation generating device 3 for generating radiations R; a radiation inspecting device 2 comprising the image intensifier 4 for applying the radiations R generated by the radiation generating device 3, converting the radiations to light, and amplifying the image of the light; and a position detector 8 for detecting the position of the radiation inspecting device 2.
