PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a costless metal sheet roof material having improved watertighness, heat insulation properties, sound insulation properties and silencing properties. SOLUTION: The roof material comprises a roof member having a female edge formed on one end of the surface in parallel with the longitudinal direction and a male edge formed on the other end, a resin foamed body formed integrally with the roof member on the rear face side of the roof member and a rear face member provided on the rear face of the resin foamed body, and the female edge of the roof member is fitted with the male edge of the adjoining roof member adjoining in the flow direction of the roof material to continuously and laterally roof the roofing substrate. A draining notch (draining hole) is formed by cutting part of the male edge in the vicinity of the resin foamed body, and the roof member has a section not having the resin foamed body formed on one end in the longitudinal direction along the nearly whole width of the roof member with a specified length perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the roof member. The one end of the roof member not having the resin foamed body is placed on the adjoining roof member to overlap each other to connect, and thus, the roof members are laid laterally continuously.
