PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the improvement of image quality and consistency of the image quality in a z direction of conventional scanning (axial scanning) or cine scanning of an X-ray CT apparatus with a two-dimensional area X-ray detector with a matrix structure represented by a multiarray X-ray detector or a flat panel X-ray detector. SOLUTION: In the conventional scanning (the axial scanning) or the cine scanning, a plane made of X-ray focal points and the central line in a channel direction (the longitudinal direction) of the two-dimensional X-ray area detector is displaced a little from the parallel direction of a rotary plane, and a geometry system is constituted to always perform weighted addition processing on the data of the X-ray detector array even in the rotational center of the tomographic image by shifting a view in the 0 degree direction and a view in the 180 degrees direction. Consequently, the X-ray CT apparatus maintains consistency of image quality of tomographic images in the z direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
