PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush which removes plaque easily, which feels good to use, which is durable and where the tips of bristle bundles open little even after the toothbrush is used repeatedly. SOLUTION: The toothbrush is obtained by implanting tapered bristles with sharp tips and bristles with round tips. In the case, the tapered bristles are made of a polytrimethylene terephthalate resin, and the bristles with the round tips are made of a polytrimethylene terephthalate resin, a polybutylene terephthalate resin or a polyamide resin. Regarding the distal end part of each tapered bristle, the diameter of its distal end is≤30% of the thickness of its proximal end, and the diameter of a part which is 3 to 10 mm from the distal end is 80% of the thickness of the distal end. The distal ends of the tapered bristles project by 0.1 to 4.0 mm from the distal end of the bristles with the round tips. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
