The device has two monochromatic emitters (1) e.g. light emitting diode (LED), provided with a brightness sensor (3) and a temperature sensor (2) via controllers (4). Measured values of the brightness sensor are used for compensation of base brightness of the emitters. Measured values of the temperature sensor are used for compensation of adjustment of a wavelength of the emitters. The controllers communicate with each other so that light exhibits or stably maintains desired chromaticity coordinate generated by a mixture of the light of the emitters.
