摘要 <p>An inorganic porous object which especially is a monolith structure is easily produced which comprises a compound of a Group 4 element and has a combination of regulated pores which are so-called macropores and micropores in the nanometer region, i.e., so-called mesopores. It is a monolith structure comprising a porous compound of a Group 4 element and has, as so-called macropores, through-holes which are interconnected like a three-dimensional network and have a pore diameter of 100 nm or larger. The structure further has, as so-called mesopores, micropores having a pore diameter of 2-100 nm and formed in the gel framework constituting those through-holes. The proportion of the micropores to the sum of the through-holes and the micropores is 10 vol.% or more. The volume of the micropores is 10 cm&lt;SUP&gt;3&lt;/SUP&gt; or less per g of the gel framework. The proportion of the through-holes to the sum of the through-holes and the micropores is 20-90 vol.%.</p>
