DISK DRIVING APPARATUS AND MAGNETIC DISK APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A disk driving device and a magnetic disk device with the driving device are provided to allow the disk driving device itself to be reduced in height, thus fabrication of a small-sized and thin type magnetic disk device is available. A hub(150) consists of a head unit maintained on the top of a spindle motor(130) and extended units(150e) for supporting a disk medium(170) from an outer circumferential side of the spindle motor(130). Clamps(190) are in ring shape of being externally inserted into the head unit of the hub(150), and clamp the disk medium(170) between the extended units(150e) of the hub(150). Elastic rings(210) fix the clamps(190).
