An offset compensation method of a disk drive and a device thereof are provided to extract DC(Direct Current) components from substantial spin jitters during a track following process to execute offset compensation for the extracted DC components, thereby making write margins of the drive for the spin jitters large as obtaining write stability of the drive. A memory(240) stores substantial spin jitters of a disk drive. A spin jitter recorder(230) stores the substantial spin jitters occurring during a track following process of a disk(200), in the memory(240). A DC component extractor(250) extracts DC components from the stored substantial spin jitters. An offset compensation execution unit(265) conducts an operation of compensating an offset of spindle speed on the basis of the extracted DC components.
