PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine attaining measurement of an intrusion depth of a tool free from an influence of parallax. SOLUTION: The working machine (1) includes signal processing means (6 and 6') for driving the tool (3) at least in an axial direction to intrude it into a material (2) to be worked. In addition, the working machine (1) includes an appropriate transducer (5) for urging and measuring a high frequency electromagnetic wave (4) propagating in the axial direction of the tool (3). The transducer is connected with the signal processing means (6 and 6') provided for calculating the intrusion depth T of the tool (3) into the material (2) based on the high frequency electromagnetic wave (4).
