PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision of an optical scanner which performs a Carlson process and to make an image quality high. SOLUTION: A fourth light emitting source group G4 corresponding to a first station, a third light emitting source group G3 corresponding to a second station, a second light emitting source group G2 corresponding to a third station, and a first light emitting source group G1 corresponding to a fourth station are formed in a common light source unit 130, and the light beams from the respective light emitting source groups are collectively scanned. Thus, the positional deviations between respective light emitting sources are suppressed, the scanning accuracy is improved compared to the case where a light source unit is provided for every station, as a result, the quality of a print image is improved.
