PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting disconnection of an electric wire and a cable capable of eliminating a detection error to detect surely the disconnection in the electric wire and an element wire of a cable conductor, even when frequency characteristics and sensitivities of respective current sensors are different. SOLUTION: In this method, injection wires 3a, 3b connected to the measuring objective electric wires and cable conductor 2a, 2b are switched each other to detect changes with the lapse of time in pulse currents of pulse signals injected into the two electric wires and cable conductor 2a, 2b respectively, by the respective current sensors 7a, 7b provided in the injection wires 3a, 3b, and the disconnection is detected in the electric wire and the element wires of the cable conductors 2a, 2b of the measuring object, based on current waveforms thereof.
