PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air spring for a rolling stock capable of securing cushioning performance of a certain degree even when a diaphragm is punctured with a simple structure and advantageous cost performance by improving a structure of an elastic mechanism or the like. SOLUTION: In this air spring for the rolling stock having an outer cylinder 1 at a car body side, an inner cylinder 2 disposed at a lower portion of the outer cylinder 1, and the diaphragm 3 disposed over both cylinders 1, 2, and provided with an elastic mechanism 5 for cushioning vertically disposed between the inner cylinder 2 and a bogie-side supporting member 4, the elastic mechanism 5 has a non-linear structure of which a spring constant of a high-load area where the load of more than prescribed load is acted on the inner cylinder 2, is higher than a low-load area where the load of prescribed load or less is acted on the inner cylinder 2, a rubber block 10 for cushioning is disposed at an upper side of the inner cylinder 2, and a lower part 1c of the outer cylinder 1 moved down in accompany with deflation of the diaphragm 3, is kept into contact with the rubber block 10.
