PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uneven luminance from being caused due to repairing an image signal line, using a rescue line. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is characterized in that, in each rescue line RL, a unit horizontal period T, the average width W of a terminal line RL2, length L of the terminal line RL2, sheet resistance R<SB>0</SB>of the terminal line RL2, line capacitance C<SB>0</SB>per unit area of the terminal line RL2, resistance R<SB>L</SB>of a visual signal line VL, line capacitance C<SB>L</SB>of the visual signal line VL, and the sum R<SB>i</SB>of resistance in a portion from a visual signal line driver XDR to the intersection of the visual signal line VL and a terminal line RL1 in the visual signal line VL and a line connecting the visual signal line and the image signal line driver XDR, resistance in a portion in the terminal line RL1 from this intersection to a connecting part with an intermediate line RL3, and resistance of the intermediate line RL3, satisfy the relation represented by the inequality relation.
