PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal monitor unit capable of easily visualizing an object image to be displayed regardless of an operator's position. SOLUTION: Laser beams LS are made incident on a receiving face 34 of a light receiving sensor 32 from a light emitting diode unit 50. A control section 40 receives a signal for indicating plane distribution of the light quantity of the laser beams LS detected by the receiving face 34 and calculates the light quantity per unit area of the light receiving face 34. An arm section 36 is rotated by the control of the control section 40, and the light quantity of the laser beams LS received by the light receiving sensor 32 positioned after rotation is calculated by the control section 40 again and after that, the rotation of the arm section 36 and the calculation of the receiving light quantity are repeated. The light receiving sensor 32 is rotated to a rotation position where the light quantity per unit area of the light receiving face 34 and the rotation of the liquid crystal monitor 20 is controlled so that the display screen 22 of the liquid crystal monitor 20 may face the operator who uses the light emitting diode unit 50.
