PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor package of enhanced detection precision, and a method of forming the magnetic sensor package. SOLUTION: In this magnetic sensor package 12, a magnetic sensor 18 is mounted on a package substrate 13, and an outer face side 13E of the package substrate 13 serves as a magnetosensitive face. A lid 28 constituted of a magnetic shielding material and for covering the magnetic sensor 18 is provided in a mounting face side of the package substrate 13. The package substrate 13 is thereby precluded from being affected by a magnetic flux ML from the mounting face side. Consequently, the detection precision is enhanced remarkably.
