PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut which is easily mounted rotatably to a mounting member through operation from an outer face side of the mounting member. SOLUTION: This nut is provided with a projecting flange portion 4 having a diameter larger than a diameter of an insertion hole 2 on an end outer periphery on a side opposite to the inserting direction, of a cylindrical portion 3 to be inserted into the insertion hole 2 of the mounting member 1. A rotary operation portion 5 for rotating and operating the cylindrical portion 3 is mounted on the flange portion 4. A restriction projecting portion 6 having a diameter smaller than the insertion hole 2 and an axial length same as or slightly longer than an axial length of the insertion hole 2 is formed on a position adjacent to the flange portion 4 of the end outer periphery of the cylindrical portion 3 while shifted in the inserting direction. An end side in the inserting direction of the cylindrical portion 3 is a thick portion 8 having a female screw portion 7 on its inner periphery. A part between the thick portion 8 of the cylindrical portion 3 and the restriction projecting portion 6 is a deformable portion 9 having rigidity lower than that of the other part of the cylindrical portion 3.
