PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tensile force imparting mechanism capable of easily adjusting tensile force imparted to an endless belt and preventing fracture of the endless belt in accompany with the imparting of tensile force. SOLUTION: This tensile force imparting mechanism has a plurality of pressing members 18, 20, 36, 38 mounted on positions outside of an endless belt in a state of being opposed to each other, separated from each other, and movable to a base portion 10 to press the endless belt 16, and an energizing member 34 connecting the plurality of pressing members 18, 20, 36, 38, and energizing the plurality of pressing members 18, 20, 36, 38 in the direction to reduce separating distances of the plurality of pressing members 18, 20, 36, 38.
