摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive opposite-direction torque from being generated by a balancer device when the engine rotates at a high speed by providing the balancer device with two balancer shafts and reducing rolling vibration based on explosion reaction torque at the time of engine idling and the like. SOLUTION: The two balancer shafts 61, 62 are mounted on a cylinder block 2 of the engine at positions different in height in a direction of a cylinder shaft. When idling the engine, the balancer shafts are rotated by a crank shaft 5 in accordance with explosion period of the engine and the explosion reaction torque of the engine is balanced out by a balance weight fixed on the balancer shafts 61, 62. A clutch 7 is intervened in a transmission for driving the balancer shafts 61, 62 and when the number of rotation reaches a predetermined value, the rotation of the balancer shafts 61, 62 is stopped. As the balancer shafts 61, 62 can be positioned at arbitral positions of the engine, degree of freedom of arrangement and design of the clutch can be enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
