PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor capable of solving both problems for improving cooling property of a protector body part and reducing leakage current by ensuring insulation space distance. SOLUTION: This hermetic compressor is constituted in such a way that a motor protector means is fixed to an upper end part of a motor coil end through an insulation sheet means by a binding string and insulation space distance between an inside member of the compressor opposing to a protector body part and an internal wall part of a sealed vessel being equal to insulation space distance between hermetic terminal parts for power supply or more is ensured.
