PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for a rainwater storing structure and the rainwater storing structure, easy to maintain/inspect by securing a large opening part in assembling, facilitating assembling from an individual constituting member, capable of reducing transport cost by enabling assembling at a job site, and capable of flexibly coping with a shape of a rainwater storing permeating tank. SOLUTION: This member is composed of a plurality of pipe-like longitudinal members having the predetermined length, a lateral member 2 for assembling a three-dimensional structure body together with these pipe-like longitudinal members, and a connection jig connectable to the pipe-like longitudinal members and the lateral member 2 and mutually connecting the pipe-like longitudinal members 3 and the lateral member 2. The three-dimensional structure body is formed by assembling the pipe-like longitudinal members, the lateral member 2 and the connection jig, and a space can be formed in its inside. The member for the rainwater storing structure forms a recessed part 2b by opening the reverse surface side of the lateral member 2, and forms a longitudinal directional rib 2c in the longitudinal direction so as to partition this recessed part 2b.
