PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and stable pressing device which is effectively adapted to a variety of wall elements and the arrangement thereof, and also to provide a method for effectively adapting the pressing device to the variety of the wall elements and the arrangement thereof. SOLUTION: A base and a carrier individually include at least two holding devices 30 for holding the steel pile wall element and a pressing cylinder unit 20 for each holding device 30, and the holding devices 30 are arranged on the pressing cylinder unit 20 in the pressing device 12 for the steel pile wall element 12. The pressing device 12 is adapted to a specified steel pile wall which is different from preliminarily fitted steel pile walls in the arrangement, shape and/or size of the steel pile wall element in the method.
