PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lumber treating method enabling desired treatment with an agent by switching e.g. the lumber coloring method from an application to an impregnation method, a sap acquiring method, sap and addition water employing the lumber treating method and treated lumber produced by the lumber treating method. SOLUTION: The lumber treating method has a process S4 of preparing addition water by adding an agent to the treated water produced by drying of lumber and processes S7 to S9 of adding the addition water to dried lumber so as to treat lumber with an agent by impregnating lumber with the agent.
