PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super abrasive grain cutter provided with a segment chip excellent in adhering force between an abrasive grain layer and a base layer and easily manufactured by improving the shape of a joining surface of the abrasive grain layer and the base layer, and provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In this super abrasive grain cutter 1, the segment chip 3 constituted of the abrasive grain layer 31 containing the super abrasive grain P and the base layer 32 is fixed on an outer periphery of a disk-shaped base metal 2 formed with a slit 21 on the outer periphery. On the joining surface 33 of the abrasive grain layer 31 and the base layer 32 of the segment chip 3, a curved surface to be a curve on a surface perpendicular in a rotating direction of the super abrasive grain cutter 1 is formed.
