<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with which a user can know the correspondence state of files in a video image reproducer easily and can select and operate a target file in the video image reproducer providing a function for reproducing a still image file and a dynamic image file recorded on a recording medium while intermingling a plurality of formats, and to provide its control method. <P>SOLUTION: The video image reproducer comprises a still image, dynamic image decoding and thumbnail creating section for creating index screens separately for a still image file and a dynamic image file recorded on a recording medium with a plurality of formats, and an OSD icon adding section for displaying whether the video image is uncorresponding or only voice is uncorresponding with regard to the dynamic image in an uncorresponding file on a screen so that correspondence state of the video image reproducer and the file is clarified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
