摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED surface light source device increased in the degree of freedom of arrangement of monochromatic LEDs.

SOLUTION: This LED surface light source device 1 is used for mixing and emitting monochromatic rays from a plurality of LEDs for emitting the monochromatic rays having distinct wavelengths. The LED surface light source device is characterized by comprising: a first light guide plate 4; a second light guide plate 6 having a size larger than that of the first light guide plate, stacked on the first light guide plate so as to form step parts S between the first light guide plate and itself and having an emission surface; first LED arrays 8 arranged oppositely to end faces of the first light guide plate for entering outgoing light into the end faces of the first light guide plate; and second LED arrays 10 arranged at the step parts oppositely to end faces of the second light guide plate for entering outgoing light into the end faces of the second light guide plate.
