CUFF FOR BLOOD PRESSURE PULSE WAVE INSPECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform blood pressure measurement and the measurement of the propagation speed of pulse waves by a single cuff.

SOLUTION: The cuff 40 is provided with a main cuff 42 and a pair of first and second sub cuffs 44 and 46. The main cuff 42 is formed into a large capacity and performs the ischemia of the artery X of a subject. The first and second sub cuffs 44 and 46 are of a small capacity arranged on the upstream side and downstream side of the flowing direction of the artery X of the subject at a prescribed interval. The blood pressure of the subject is measured on the basis of the pulse waves detected from the main cuff 42, and the propagation speed of the pulse waves is obtained on the basis of the pulse waves detected from the first and second sub cuffs 44 and 46.
