<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink having excellent reliability such as ink preservability, plugging recovery and continuous printing stability, and providing highly glossy recorded product when printed on a glossy paper. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink contains an organic pigment and a water-insoluble polymer enabling the organic pigment to be dispersed in the ink. The water-insoluble polymer has a hydrogen bond-donating group and a hydrogen bond-accepting group.
