<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating sludge capable of sterilizing a microbe in excess sludge efficiently and stably by controlling the amount of hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite to be generated. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating the excess sludge comprises biologically decomposing organic waste water by activated sludge held in a bioreactor, sterilizing the microbe in the sludge by loading the generated activated sludge with the solution of hypochlorous acid, circulating the sterilized sludge to the bioreactor, and decomposing it, wherein the concentration of free chlorine remaining in a sludge sterilization tank 1 is measured and in response to the measured concentration of free chlorine, the amount of the solution of hypochlorous acid to be loaded is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
