PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a herbicidal composition having a wider weed-killing spectrum than ever, high activity, and a long-sustained effect. SOLUTION: This herbicidal composition contains (α) a compound expressed by formula (I) (R is H or -COCH<SB>2</SB>OCH<SB>3</SB>) or its salt and (β) at least one kind of compound selected from a group consisting of: at least one kind of sulfonyl urea-based compound selected from (B1.1) bensulfuron-methyl, (B1.2) azimsulfuron, etc.; (B2.1) pyriminobac-methyl; an acetamide-based compound, such as (B3.1) pretilachlor; at least one kind of benzoyl compound selected from (B4.1) benzobicyclon, (B4.2) mesotrione, etc.; (B5.1) simetryn; and other compounds as active ingredients.
