PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve steering stability of a vehicle, and to prevent a strut tower bar from entering a cabin. SOLUTION: The body structure for the vehicle comprises: right and left strut towers to which upper portions of suspension devices respectively suspending right and left wheels are fixed; a panel member extending in a vehicular width direction on a vehicular cabin side rather than the strut towers; and the strut tower bar coupling the right and left strut towers and coupling the right and left strut towers and the panel member. The strut tower bar comprises: a cross bar member extending in the vehicular width direction; and a pair of side bar members respectively extending from the right and left strut towers to the panel member. The side bar member has a brittle portion having weaker strength to input a load in a vehicular fore-and-aft direction than other parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
