PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which quickly starts up, an image forming device starting method and an image forming device starting program. SOLUTION: The image forming device equipped with a hard disk has a spinning-up recognition means to recognize the end of spinning-up of the hard disk, a file system reading means to read a file system to operate an image forming process from the hard disk, a RAM expansion means to expand the read file system in the RAM and a starting means to start the file system expanded in the RAM.
