PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pouring tube which forms a rotary flow in the molten metal and cleans molten metal simply and effectively, and to provide a pouring method of molten metal. SOLUTION: When pouring molten metal from a vessel 6 into another vessel 4 placed beneath the vessel 6, a pouring tube 1 is used by being arranged between those vessels. The pouring tube 1 has a main body A in its upper part and has an outlet tube part B, which has a minimum inner diameter D2 of 0.3 times or less than an inner diameter D1 of the main body A, in its lower part. Above the minimum inner diameter part of the outlet tube part B, a rotary flow forming mechanism 2 having a molten metal passage, whose center line makes an average inclination angle 25°or more to the tube axial direction, is arranged over a range from the tube axis of the pouring tube 1 to 65% or more of the radius of the tube. An inert gas blowing part 3 is set at the outlet tube part B. The pouring method uses the pouring tube 1. It is preferable for the pouring tube 1 that D1 is 200-1,000 mm, D2 is 40-200 mm, and a length L2 of the outlet tube part B is 0.3-2.5 times D2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
