PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting apparatus in which such a problem is solved that a sorting dish is slid and friction-resistant force between the sorting dish and a guide rail is large and consequently smooth, vibrationless and noiseless sorting work can be done and the durability of which can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A supporting lever 5 to be repulsed is arranged under the sorting dish 3, which is pivotally supported by a holder bracket 2 of a conveying chain 1 to be freely rotated vertically, while interposing a spring 4 between them. An engaging pin 6 and an engaging guide 7, which can be engaged/disengaged for changing a posture of the sorting dish 3 between a conveying posture A for conveying the received object to be sorted and a discharging posture B for discharging the conveyed/sorted object to the outside, are formed between the holder bracket 2 and the supporting lever 5. In the conveying posture A of the sorting dish 3, the supporting lever 5 is repulsed with respect to the holder bracket 2 by the force of the spring 5, the engaging pin 6 and the engaging guide 7 are engaged, the sorting dish is kept horizontally and measuring or sorting work is done.
