PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a string of a ball chain connected to a water flushing lever in a flushing water tank, from degrading and wearing. SOLUTION: A chain mounting section 34 of the water flushing lever 20 has a ball seat 42 for rotatably bearing a ball 72 of the ball chain 70, and a string release hole 44 from which the string 74 projecting from the ball 72 borne by the ball seat 42, is released. The string release hole 44 is opened to an angular range in which the string 74 is swayable. When the water flushing lever 20 is rotated, the ball 72 borne by the ball seat 42 is rotated to sway the string 74, but swaying of the string 74 is limited to the range of the string release hole 44, and therefore the string 74 does not abut on the water flushing lever 20, to thereby prevent the string from bending. Alternatively the ball chain 70 hanging down from the water flushing lever 20 may be separated into two ball chain sections, and the separated two ball chain sections may be connected together via a water stopping connector.
