PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-over triggering method and apparatus of a mobile communication terminal for quickly realizing hand-over by reducing the time for scanning the information of each adjacent base station when a hand-over event of mobile communication terminal is generated. SOLUTION: The hand-over triggering method of mobile communication terminal includes a step for calculating each distance value between the mobile communication terminal and many adjacent base stations on the basis of the power value of many adjacent base stations and a step for transmitting, to the service base stations, the information of a particular adjacent base station having the shortest distance value of each calculated distance value explained above.
