PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator excellent in impact resistance with a piezoelectric vibrator. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric oscillator where the piezoelectric vibrator is arranged in a space surrounded by a case including a substrate and a cover is provided with a cushioning material for supporting the piezoelectric vibrator and suppressing impact transmitted from the case to the piezoelectric vibrator and flexible wiring members for electrically connecting the piezoelectric vibrator to the substrate. Alternatively, the piezoelectric oscillator is provided with a second substrate on which the piezoelectric vibrator is mounted, the cushioning material for supporting the second substrate and suppressing impact transmitted from the case to the piezoelectric vibrator and flexible wiring members for electrically connecting both the substrates with each other and for having flexibility. When external impact is applied to the case, the shock is absorbed by the cushioning material and transmission of the impact to the piezoelectric vibrator is suppressed, so that generation of variation or the like in the frequencies of the piezoelectric oscillator can be suppressed and the impact resistance can be improved.
