PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sheet heat treatment equipment having improved heating efficiency. SOLUTION: The sheet heat treatment equipment comprises a sheet travelling direction change device 10 and a heating roller 11 provided in combination on a sheet travel path R in the travelling direction. The sheet travelling direction change device 10 consists of a guide plane 13 formed along a curved portion on one face of the sheet travel path R, and a gas blow port 14 for blowing heated sheet floating gas G between the guide plane and the sheet travel path. The heating roller 11 to be rotationally driven by a roller drive mechanism 12 has an outer peripheral face 11b for contacting a curved portion on the other face of the sheet travel path. It consists of a storage chamber 23 for storing the sheet travelling direction change device 10 and the heating roller 11, and a gas circulating device 18 for collecting the blown sheet floating gas from the storage chamber 23 and supplying it as the sheet floating gas G to the sheet travelling direction change device 10 after adjusting the temperature thereof.
