PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side sill rear structure of a vehicle which is excellent in yield of a material, favorably obtained in cost, and capable of sufficiently ensuring the strength of a side sill. SOLUTION: In the side sill rear structure, when coupling a front end of a rear side member 4 with a rear end of a side sill 2, the rear side member 4 is formed in a substantially U-shaped section, an upper end of an inner wall 4in and an upper end of an outer wall 4out are coupled with a lower side of a rear floor 5 to form a closed section, and the rear end of the side sill 2 is formed in a substantially U-shaped section of only a side sill outer panel 2out. A tip of an upper wall 2up and a tip of a lower wall 2low are coupled with upper and lower ends of the outer wall 4out of the rear side member 4 to constitute a closed section in cooperation with the outer wall 4out of the rear side member 4. The rear side member 4 may be formed in a substantially U-shaped section over the entire length, and the side sill outer panel 2out may be formed in a substantially U-shaped section over the entire length.
