PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance and compact air intake filter unit for a gas turbine. SOLUTION: In the air intake filter unit 1 for the gas turbine, a medium performance filter pack 7 in which a low efficient filter material is folded, and a high performance filter pack 2 in which a high efficient filter material is folded are arranged in one filter frame perpendicular to air current and in the air current direction so that collection efficiency is successively increased. The high-performance filter pack in the rear stage is closely fixed in the filter frame 5 with an adhesive such as a urethane seal material, etc., not so as to leak air. The medium performance filter pack in the front stage is attachably and detachably installed in the filter frame. In designing the filter life time in each stage including a pre-filter, the life time of the high-performance filter is made longer than the longest period of a periodic repair, and the medium performance filter and pre-filter come to the end of the life time shorter than the period.
