METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMINO ACID IN REDUCTION CONDITION USING CORYNEFORM BACTERIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amino acid in which highly efficient production of the amino acid is allowed. SOLUTION: The method for producing the amino acid comprises proliferating and culturing an aerobic coryneform bacterium under aerobic conditions and collecting amino acids produced in a reaction medium under reduction conditions by using a recovered bacterial cell or a bacterial cell-treated material. In the production method, a transformant in which lactic acid dehydrogenase is inactivated or lactic acid dehydrogenase gene is broken is used as the aerobic coryneform bacterium.
