A device is described for processing the contact surface ( 1 ) of a mold profile ( 2 ), which forms a negative mold for a shaft floor drain and is possibly assembled from profile parts ( 26, 27 ), made of thermoplastic foam, which is provided with a processing allowance ( 25 ) in the area of the contact surface ( 1 ), having a table ( 4 ) for receiving the mold profile ( 2 ) to be processed and having a heating wire ( 18 ) running in accordance with the cross-sectional profile of the contact surface ( 1 ) to be produced, which is movable in relation to the table ( 4 ) along the contact surface ( 1 ) to be processed. In order to provide advantageous processing conditions, it is suggested that the mold profile ( 2 ) be rotatable around the receptacle axis ( 28 ) coaxially to the table ( 4 ) receiving the contact surface ( 1 ) in relation to the heating wire ( 18 ), which, originating from the receptacle axis ( 28 ), runs diagonally in relation to the receptacle axis ( 28 ) at an angle corresponding to the conical contact surface ( 1 ) to be processed, and the table ( 4 ) have a passage ( 24 ) for the heating wire ( 18 ) to be inserted into the processing allowance ( 25 ) of the mold profile ( 2 ) in relation to the table ( 4 ) in the direction of the receptacle axis ( 28 ).
