A user terminal having an independently-operable application processor and a method of sharing a memory are disclosed. The digital processing unit in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention has a memory with a plurality of ports, a main processor and an application processor, which is coupled to the main processor via an MP-AP bus and to the plurality of ports of the memory via each of the buses. With the present invention, process efficiency can be maximized by processing multimedia data with the application processor only, without the main processor. |
