[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The optical means drive device performs recording and reproduction of information into and from an optical medium, and has a fixed section having a pivot shaft, a movable section pivotable about the pivot shaft, and a pivot means for pivoting the movable section about the pivot shaft. The movable section has a holder having a plurality of optical means capable of converging light to the optical medium, and also has a plurality of electrically conductive elastic bodies for holding the support. The optical axes of the respective optical means are substantially equidistant from the pivot shaft, and an optical means for converging light to the optical medium is selected when the movable member is pivoted by the pivot means.
