<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cutting apparatus capable of cutting the glass fiber portion of an optical fiber in a short time with superior reproducibility without relying upon a working environment. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber cutting apparatus comprises a fixing member 18 fixing the glass fiber portion 37A of the optical fiber 37, a blade member 20 giving scratch to the glass fiber portion fixed by the fixing member, an elastic member moving the blade member, and a holding member holding the elastic member in an elastically deformed state. Also, the optical fiber cutting apparatus comprises a fixing member fixing the glass fiber portion of an optical connector, the blade member giving scratch to the glass fiber portion fixed by the fixing member, and a holder fixing part fixing a holder 63 holding the optical fiber at the protective cover portion thereof.
