PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a coating work having a high quality with no ununiformness by suppressing turbulence of an air stream when the air stream is applied to an arm. SOLUTION: A base part 11 of a coating robot 10 is arranged at the uppermost position and a horizontal multi-joint arm 12 is hangingly provided on the base part 11. A lengthy rod-like expandable/contractable vertical arm 18 is provided on a distal end of the horizontal multi-joint arm 12 and a coating gun 22 is provided on a lower end of the vertical arm 18.
