PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminenscence element where an emission spectrum is improved, color purity is improved, and color mixture is difficult to occur even if the element is used for printing use. SOLUTION: An electrode layer 2, a light absorbing layer 3, a charge injection transport layer 4, a light emitting layer 5, a charge injection transport layer 6, and an electrode layer 7 are laminated on a substrate 1. The light emitting layer 5 is constituted to emit a specified color in a visible light region by doping a fluorochrome into a host material, for example. When voltage is applied between the electrode layer 2 and the electrode layer 7, light is emitted from the light emitting layer 5. When light passes through the light absorbing layer 3 absorbing visible light, a part of emitted light, especially, the foot of the emission spectrum is absorbed.
