PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning method of a connector in which plural number of connectors are aligned in a line and in which respective contacts can be positioned appropriately against respective checker pins of a conductive checker by means that positioning of the respective contacts of the plural number of connectors are surely carried out. SOLUTION: The contacts T of the plurality of the connectors C1, C2 are respectively positioned against the respective checker pins 81a of the conductive checker 81. By descending a positioning member 71, and while a positioning projection part 71a is pressed to a inclined face P2 installed at the upper end inside of a side wall P1 which is one out of both side walls P1, P2 of a contact housing cavity P, the positioning member 71 is moved in the horizontal direction, descending of the positioning member 71 is continued and the positioning projection part 71a is inserted into the contact housing cavity P, and movement of the positioning member 71 in the horizontal direction is continued, and the contacts T are respectively positioned with respect to the respective checker pins 81a of the conductive checker 81.
