PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating type switching mechanism without any light unevenness in a lighting state of a keytop or a case including the keytop, capable of uniformly illuminating the keytop or the case including the keytop. SOLUTION: The illuminating type switching mechanism 1-1 is provided with a keytop plate 10 mounting keytops 20-1 to 17 with translucency on a rubber-like elastic plate 40 with flexibility and translucency, a top case 90 with translucency arranged on a top face side of the keytop plate 10, and a flexible switch substrate 70 as well as a lower case 100 arranged at an underside of the keytop plate 10. The flexible switch substrate 70 has a light-emitting element 75 illuminating the keytop plate 10, and a switch 73 pressed by each keytop 20-1 to 17 arranged. The keytops (20-1 to 6 and 20-7 to 15) are coupled by a coupling part 31. The coupling part 31 is provided with a light-scattering member (a light-scattering layer) 50 positioned on the light-emitting element 75 and scattering light emitted from the light-emitting element 75.
