PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the rotation of a rotatable member included in the driving system of an optical device by a detection system using a scale and a sensor. SOLUTION: Optical equipment has: a first member 51; a second member 54 rotatable around an optical axis AXL with respect to the first member; and driving mechanisms 27 and 28 driving the optical device. Then, it has a transmission member 50 transmitting driving force from the second member to the driving mechanism by moving within a prescribed angle area R with the optical axis as center with respect to the first member. Furthermore, it has the scale 57 provided on either the first or the second member, and the sensor 59 provided on the other and outputting a signal in accordance with relative displacement to the scale.
