VIBRATION REDUCTION DEVICE FOR BUILDING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration reduction device capable of providing stable vibration damping effect even if the synchronizing state of an auxiliary vibration system with a main vibration system is changed due to temperature change in the vibration reduction device in which the auxiliary vibration system is formed by elastically supporting a mass member on a building structure by rubber mounts. SOLUTION: This vibration reduction device comprises a plurality of divided masses 14 providing an optimum mass of the building structure 12 according to a vibration to be damped as the total mass of the entire building structure. These divided masses 14 are independently elastically supported on the building structure 12 by the rubber mounts to form a plurality of divided auxiliary vibration systems 17.
